Academic Identity Card

The Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports has developed a centralized information system for the issuance of the Academic Identity Card for first-, second-, and third-cycle students. The Academic Identity Card also incorporates the Student Travel Pass. Students may submit their online application for obtaining an Academic Identity Card throughout the academic year. The card is issued free of charge.

To submit the online application for an Academic Identity Card, you must have an account for accessing the telematics services of the University of Patras. This account is provided during your enrollment in the first year of studies in your department. The same account also grants access to all central electronic services of the University of Patras.

After submitting the online application, you may collect your Academic Identity Card from a designated distribution point, which you will have selected during the application process.

Collection is possible only after your application has been approved by your Department Secretariat and once you have been notified via SMS, email, or through your personal account on the relevant information system.

The Academic Identity Card will remain available at the distribution point for two months from the date of its printing and the corresponding notification sent to the student.

The Academic Identity Card is strictly personal and may only be used by the student to whom it has been issued.

Academic calendar

Each academic year runs from September 1st to August 31st.

Attendance of classes is independent of the finalization of enrollment.
